Service
Protein Ring is a nutrition app for iPhone, with an Apple Watch companion, that helps you set a protein target, log meals in your own words, check the estimate, and see what your days add up to. It provides estimates and planning support, not medical advice.
Eligibility And Accounts
You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method and for the accuracy of what you enter. You can sign out or delete your account from You.
Nutrition And AI Estimates
Protein Ring uses AI to turn your meal description into food items and a nutrition estimate, and may use FoodData Central reference data. Estimates can be incomplete or wrong, and parsing is best-effort in languages other than English. You check every estimate before it counts, and you can change it.
Your plan is a starting estimate built from the details you give, including any you import from Apple Health. Protein Ring does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. If you have a medical condition, allergies, an eating-disorder history, are pregnant, or have specialised nutrition needs, consult a qualified professional before changing your diet.
Apple Health And Apple Watch
Protein Ring reads from and writes to Apple Health only with the permission you give in Apple’s prompt, as described in the Privacy Policy. Text you dictate on Apple Watch is shown to you for review before it is saved; Protein Ring stores no audio.
Subscriptions
Protein Ring offers auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Prices, trials, billing periods, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple and shown in its purchase sheet. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Deleting your Protein Ring account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it with Apple if you want billing to stop.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, try to access another person’s account or data, reverse engineer private APIs, submit unlawful content, or use the app in a way that breaks applicable law or App Store terms.
Your Content
You remain responsible for the meal descriptions and details you submit. By submitting them you allow Protein Ring and its processors to use that data to provide the service, including AI parsing, nutrition matching, syncing, analytics, support and diagnostics, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Account Deletion And Export
Delete your account from You › Delete account. Request a copy of your data
from You › Request your data, or by emailing support@proteinring.com.
Service Availability
Protein Ring may change, suspend or discontinue features. External services (Supabase, OpenAI, FoodData Central, RevenueCat, Apple, PostHog and Sentry) may affect availability or behaviour.
Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protein Ring disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protein Ring is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, or for nutrition, health, billing or data-loss outcomes resulting from use of the app.
Changes
Protein Ring may update these terms as the product changes. The published terms show the current effective date and stay linked from You and from the App Store listing.
